How to Build Tufted Headboard

A tufted headboard can add instant elegance to a bedroom. The strands pull the fabric again at regular intervals, creating the suggestion that the head is smooth. Building a tufted headboard is easy.

Instructions to build tufted headboard: cut MDF (medium density fiberboard) the height and width you need, a minimum of three rows of tufting. Space their rows 8 inches apart.  Mark the location of the button holes and drill holes at each mark. Spray the front of the head with spray adhesive.

Place wadding on the floor. Place your headboard down foam and focused on hitting. Take batting over the foam and staple the batting to the back of the head. Place the cloth on the ground face down. Place the batting headboard side down centered on the fabric. Carrying the fabric over the batting and fabric stapled to the back of the head.

Tie the thread to a large flat upholstery button. Thread the needle through the head of the bed and pull the front. Mount center and a plug assembly at the back of the head and the wall. Screw cleat side of the wall studs or wall anchors. Slide cleat on the headboard wall fixing system for hanging the tufted headboard.
